Company history

Luban Präzisionszerspanung GmbH has been active on the market in various company forms since 1945. It originated as a metalworking company run by the brothers Erich and Hermann Luban, which was dissolved at the end of 1963. Erich and Hermann Luban subsequently set up their own companies at different locations, each with the same market orientation. In March 1965, Klaus Luban takes over his father Erich's company and in the 1980s, his brother Reiner Luban joins his uncle Hermann's business.
Both companies continued to exist after the fall of communism and were merged to form Luban Filter GmbH in April 1991. Diesel filter production and the company's time as an automotive supplier for various major customers such as IFA, Mercedes-Benz and BMW Motorrad came to an end in 2008.

This is followed by a complete reorientation and realignment of the company by the Luban family. Machining becomes the focus of the manufacturing process and Robert Luban becomes the sole managing partner at the head of the long-established family business. The company grows in all areas. A lot of money is invested in state-of-the-art machinery, as well as in new, connected production halls and warehouses at the site in Halbe in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg. The number of employees has more than doubled since 2010 - there are currently more than 60.

With Lisa-Marie Luban-Kiewitt, Robert Luban's daughter ensures the continuation of the entrepreneurial family tradition and the company, which has successfully faced all economic, political and social challenges for decades.
